The club have just taken delivery of a brand new mat to replace one that was approximately 30 years old.
It is MUCH faster to bowl on so you can imagine how difficult everyone found it to begin with. Hopefully our skills will improve and we will then be in a position to invite other bowls clubs to join us for friendly competitions.
The mat was funded by increasing our weekly subs in order to accumulate a small `nest egg` and a partial grant from Hartest Parish Council, for which we are all most grateful.
If you are interested in having a go please just turn up to one of our sessions on Wednesday evenings in the Institute 7.30 - the cost is only £3 per session. (Please note we meet in the afternoon at 2pm on the first Wednesday of each month as the Parish Council hold their meetings in the evening).
