Hartest Womens Institute arranged a trip ton the Lady Florence Cruise on the River Alde. How lucky we were with the weather, which was warm with very little breeze.
We arrived early at Orford, and so had time for coffee and cake! then it was down to the quay for our midday sail-away. We were greeted by the very friendly crew who gave us a brief safety talk and then we were on our way. Some of the views were gorgeous, it was a real `photo opportunity`.
At about 1pm we had a delicious lunch, served round a large table in the cabin, then it was out on deck again for tea and coffee. Our cruise finished at about 3.30pm, just time for us to stop for another cuppa on the quayside, although we all managed to resist more cakes after such a substantial lunch! It was a lovely trip.
