Does your group require funding?
If you are involved with a community group in your area, a grant from The Suffolk Foundation could help to support your cause.
The Suffolk Foundation currently has two very different funds that are open for applications: The Transforming Suffolk Fund and Creating the Greenest County Fund.
The Transforming Suffolk Fund has grants of up to £5,000 available for community and voluntary groups and social enterprises to carry out projects in Suffolk.
Your project should be based on one of the four themes. These are safe, healthy and inclusive communities, a vibrant economy, a greener Suffolk, and work and life skills. There is no closing date as there are frequent panels.
Creating the Greenest County can offer grants of up to £25,000 for voluntary and community groups who wish to deliver community based carbon reduction projects that are ‘visionary’ and forward thinking in line with the Greenest County mission. Typical projects are heating systems that will use less carbon.
You can find all details including application forms, guidelines and deadline dates on The Suffolk Foundation’s website www.suffolkfoundation.org.uk or you can phone Sue Wright on 01473 786917 discuss your application or talk about your ideas.
